Rich Lyons, an established economist and the current leader for innovation and entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley, has been announced as the university's next chancellor. The UC Board of Regents confirmed Lyons as the 12th chancellor of UC Berkeley, making him the first UC Berkeley undergraduate alumnus to hold the position since 1930.
