Ami Bera, M.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 6th district since 2013, shared several updates and reflections on his social media account in early April 2026.

On April 2, Bera commented on President Trump’s recent address regarding Iran. He stated, “President Trump’s speech last night left the American people with more questions than answers. We still do not know what the endgame is. There was no clear articulation of the ‘imminent’ threat posed by Iran to the homeland and he failed to lay out a credible plan for what https://t.co/7JwhqtU0GE”.

Two days later, on April 3, Bera extended well wishes to those observing Good Friday, writing, “Wishing a peaceful and meaningful Good Friday to all those observing in Sacramento County and around the world.”

On April 5, he acknowledged Easter celebrations with another message: “Happy Easter to everyone celebrating in Sacramento County and beyond! https://t.co/GW9RjA7cdl”

Bera has served as the representative for California’s 6th district since defeating Dan Lungren in 2013. Born in Los Angeles in 1965 and currently residing in Elk Grove, Bera graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
