Ami Bera has served as a U.S. Representative for California’s 6th District since replacing Dan Lungren in 2013 and is known for his background as a physician and legislator with an interest in public health issues. Born in Los Angeles in 1965 and currently residing in Elk Grove, Bera graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987.
