Ami Bera, M.D., a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 6th district since 2013, addressed constituents and shared legislative updates through a series of tweets on July 22, 2025.

In a post published at 03:31 UTC, Bera thanked local residents for their participation in a recent event: “Thank you to the more than 10,000 Sacramento County residents who joined me for tonight’s telephone town hall. Your engagement and determination are powerful reminders that Donald Trump’s actions do not reflect the values we hold dear as Americans.”

Later that day, at 21:16 UTC, Bera announced progress on legislation he sponsored: “NEWS: The U.S.-Japan-Republic of Korea Trilateral Cooperation Act just passed out of the House Foreign Affairs Committee! Ami Bera has served in Congress since defeating Dan Lungren in 2013. He was born in Los Angeles in 1965 and currently resides in Elk Grove. Bera earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine in 1987.
