Congressman Brad Sherman, who represents California’s 32nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing antisemitism and community engagement.
On December 15, 2025, Sherman acknowledged recent challenges faced by the Jewish community, stating: “Amid a time of increased hatred against the Jewish community, we must resolve to outshine the darkness with light during this Hanukkah season. May your homes, families, and loved ones celebrate this time with hope, strength, and courage. #HappyHanukkah”
The following day, December 16, Sherman encouraged constituents to participate in his office’s final telephone town hall of the year: “Join our final Telephone #TownHall of the year tomorrow, December 17, starting at 7 PM — and make your voice heard on the events that shaped this year and the priorities you want to see in the year ahead. Phone number to join 855-920-0548 RSVP https://t.co/hi299LrX3t”
Later on December 16, Sherman reported joining other lawmakers and leaders in expressing solidarity with Australia’s Jewish community. He wrote: “I joined @RepJoshG, @AJCCEO Ted Deutch, and other Members of Congress to stand in solidarity with #Australia’s Jewish community and call for an investigation into the foreign-backed wave of antisemitism targeting Jewish communities from #Sydney to right here in the United States.”
Sherman has served as a member of Congress since 1997 after succeeding Anthony Beilenson. He was born in Los Angeles in 1954 and currently resides in Sherman Oaks. Sherman holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA (1974) and a law degree from Harvard University (1979).
