Congressman Brad Sherman, who represents California’s 32nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on July 16, 2025, addressing international and community issues.
On July 16, 2025, Sherman expressed concern about violence targeting Syria’s Druze community. He wrote: “I am deeply concerned about the ongoing attacks against #Syria’s #Druze community. The Syrian government and President al-Sharaa must get serious and adopt a zero-tolerance policy for the kind of sectarian violence we’re seeing erupt in Syria once again.”
Later that day, Sherman described meetings with constituents from Los Angeles who visited Capitol Hill to advocate for Armenian issues. In his post he stated: “Great to meet with Los Angelinos who were here on the Hill today with @ARAMAC_DC and @KnightsOfVartan to advocate for a strong U.S.-Armenia relationship. Today, tomorrow, and every day, I stand fully with the Armenian people in their demands for the safe and dignified return of”
In another message posted on July 16, 2025, Sherman discussed his meeting with Vinay Mohan Kwatra, India’s Ambassador to the United States. He said: “It was a pleasure meeting with the Ambassador of #India to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra @AmbVMKwatra in my office where we held a productive discussion on continuing to strengthen the U.S. – India relationship.”
Sherman has served as a member of Congress since 1997 after succeeding Anthony Beilenson. He was born in Los Angeles in 1954 and resides in Sherman Oaks. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from UCLA earned in 1974 and a law degree from Harvard University obtained in 1979.
