Congressman Brad Sherman, who represents California’s 32nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several community issues through his social media posts, including consumer protection concerns, antisemitism, and support for local businesses.
On August 21, 2025, Sherman commented on predatory cancellation practices affecting consumers. He wrote, “Unfortunately, this issue extends far beyond LA fitness. Consumers are being cheated out of their money with these predatory cancellation practices across the board- just about everyone has their own story dealing with these scam-like traps. That is why I introduced the Click”.
Later that day, Sherman discussed a meeting with leaders from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) regarding rising antisemitism in his district and across the United States. He stated on August 21, 2025: “I met with leaders from @ADL to discuss the outrageous rise in Antisemitism in the United States and in my district. The latest incident, from this past weekend, involved swastikas marked on the banner of a local elementary school. The ADL, which tracks antisemitism nationwide,”.
On August 22, 2025, Sherman acknowledged local efforts to support small businesses: “Always a pleasure to join Ma’Dame President Townsend and the @CalBCC SFV, and to celebrate your outstanding work to empower small, minority and women-owned businesses in the San Fernando Valley.”
Sherman has served as a member of Congress since 1997 after succeeding Anthony Beilenson. He was born in Los Angeles in 1954 and resides in Sherman Oaks. His educational background includes a BA from UCLA and a JD from Harvard University.
