Congressman Brad Sherman, who has represented California’s 32nd district in the U.S. Congress since 1997, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing immigration enforcement and community tributes in Los Angeles.
On August 22, Sherman commented on the ongoing public interest in the so-called Epstein files, writing: “Except those in the #EpsteinFiles”.
The following day, Sherman shared an encounter with a family affected by immigration enforcement actions. On August 23, he posted: “Today I met with a courageous mother whose family is being torn apart by recent #ICERaids
She shared how her daughter was taken. No warning. No timeline. Just gone.
These families are not just headlines or statistics. They are our neighbors, our classmates, our coworkers – all”.
On August 24, Sherman attended a community event honoring local firefighters for their response to recent wildfires in Los Angeles. He wrote: “This morning, I had the honor of joining our San Fernando Valley community for ‘Breakfast with the Brave’ at @LAFD Station 39, a powerful tribute to the firefighters who courageously risked their lives during the January Los Angeles #Wildfires
These heroes didn’t hesitate when”.
Sherman is a long-serving member of Congress from California and resides in Sherman Oaks. Born in Los Angeles in 1954, he holds degrees from UCLA and Harvard University. Since replacing Anthony Beilenson in Congress nearly three decades ago, he has been active on issues affecting his constituents and broader national concerns.
