Congressman Brad Sherman, who represents California’s 32nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues on his social media account, including religious identity, legislative action regarding Jeffrey Epstein, and legal rulings on political events.
On September 2, 2025, Sherman posted about his connection to Rabbi Eddie’s congregation and reflected on American Jewish identity. He wrote, “This is one of the most profound expositions of what it means to be an American Jew, and our debt to this country and its veterans. I am very proud to have been a member of Rabbi Eddie’s congregation for thirty years.”
The following day, Sherman announced his involvement with new legislation aimed at increasing transparency around Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities. On September 3, 2025, he stated: “Today, I signed the #EpsteinFiles Transparency Act to help expose the full truth behind Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal network along with the individuals involved. My full statement:”
Later that same day, Sherman commented on a federal court ruling related to former President Donald Trump’s deployment of troops in Los Angeles. He posted: “It didn’t take a judge to know Trump’s L.A. troop stunt was illegal — but now a federal court has officially ruled it was unlawful. Our streets aren’t a battlefield, and our communities aren’t props for his political theater.”
Sherman has served in Congress since 1997 after succeeding Anthony Beilenson as representative for California’s 32nd district (https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/S000344). Born in Los Angeles in 1954 and currently residing in Sherman Oaks, he graduated from UCLA with a BA in 1974 before earning a JD from Harvard University in 1979.
