Congressman Brad Sherman, who represents California’s 32nd district and has served in the U.S. Congress since 1997, recently used his social media platform to discuss the release of Epstein files and looming government funding deadlines.
On July 17, 2025, Sherman highlighted an exchange with a State Department official by posting: “FORBES: Sherman Asks State Dept. Official if Releasing Epstein Files Would Harm American Foreign Policy”.
Later that same day, he drew attention to the legislative calendar and potential government shutdown, stating: “There are 18 days the House is in session between now and September 30th, when the government shuts down if we don’t pass the appropriations bills or a continuing resolution.”
On July 18, Sherman addressed transparency regarding high-profile documents: “The public won’t be fooled. The House must pass binding legislation to force the release of Epstein files. Not a non-binding Resolution.”
Sherman was born in Los Angeles in 1954 and resides in Sherman Oaks. He holds degrees from UCLA (BA) and Harvard University (JD). Over his congressional career since succeeding Anthony Beilenson in 1997, Sherman has often engaged on matters of legislative process and public accountability.
