Congressman Brad Sherman, who represents California’s 32nd district in the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of statements on social media regarding a recent antisemitic terror attack in Australia and its aftermath.

On December 14, 2025, Sherman wrote: “I joined all 25 Jewish Democrat and Republican members of the House of Representatives in denouncing the horrific antisemitic terror attack that was carried out in #Australia early today. As we join in prayer for those who are seriously wounded, we must all resolve to confront”.

Later that day, he praised an individual involved in the incident: “This man showed amazing courage. He is an inspiration to all who believe that our communities can live in peace. He is worthy of the ‘Righteous Among the Nations’ award established by Yad Vashem. #RighteousAmongTheNations” (December 14, 2025).

The following day, Sherman reflected on the broader impact: “A great tragedy for our community and for the world.” (December 15, 2025).

Brad Sherman has served as a member of Congress since 1997 after succeeding Anthony Beilenson. Born in Los Angeles in 1954 and currently residing in Sherman Oaks, Sherman graduated from UCLA with a BA before earning his JD from Harvard University.
