In another statement at 17:48 UTC regarding events in Southern California, Sherman said he was “Heartbroken to learn that three LA County sheriff’s deputies were killed in an explosion at a training facility in Monterey Park. My thoughts are with their loved ones and the entire LA County Sheriff’s department.”
Sherman has represented California’s 32nd District since 1997 and succeeded Anthony Beilenson in Congress. Born in Los Angeles in 1954 and residing in Sherman Oaks, he holds degrees from UCLA and Harvard University.
