Congressman Brad Sherman, representing California’s 32nd district since 1997, has expressed his concerns on social media regarding the Trump administration’s stance and actions toward Los Angeles. The congressman, who was born in Los Angeles and currently resides in Sherman Oaks, shared his views through a series of tweets on June 10, 2025.
In a tweet posted at 17:27 UTC, Sherman responded to comments made by Kristi Noem about Los Angeles. He stated, “Kristi Noem say Los Angeles is a ‘city of criminals.’ I love L.A. and apparently the Trump administration hates L.A.”
Later that day at 19:21 UTC, Sherman criticized the allocation of resources by the Trump administration. He wrote, “Outrageous. The #Trump administration should be spending that type of money to help Los Angeles recover from the January wildfires — instead of working to start new fires.”
At 19:48 UTC on the same day, Sherman mentioned his participation in a press conference with other California Congressional colleagues. He tweeted about their collective stance against certain actions taken by the Trump administration toward Los Angeles: “Today I stood in solidarity with my California Congressional colleagues in a press conference on the #Trump Administration’s unlawful and dangerous actions against #LosAngeles”
Sherman’s educational background includes graduating from UCLA in 1974 with a BA and earning a JD from Harvard University in 1979.
