Congressman Brad Sherman, who represents California’s 32nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of international and community issues in a series of posts on social media.
On August 8, 2025, Sherman posted his position regarding arms transfers to Azerbaijan and the status of Armenian prisoners of war. In his statement, he wrote: “See below my statement opposing any possible weapons transfers to Azerbaijan and calling on #Azerbaijan to release all #Armenian POWs:”
Two days later, on August 10, Sherman shared his participation in a local cultural event: “Great to join the vibrant Indian American community of the San Fernando Valley at the 26th annual #IndiaIndependenceDay Festival. Thanks to the #India Association of L.A. for hosting this annual event.”
That same day, Sherman highlighted his attendance at rallies focused on human rights advocacy alongside his daughter: “Authoritarianism thrives on silence. That’s why we continue to show up and speak up – loudly, clearly and together. Proud to join my daughter Molly at the #StandUpForYourRights rally in Woodland Hills – and later at a #NoKings rally in Studio City – to keep defending our”
Sherman has served as a member of Congress since 1997 after succeeding Anthony Beilenson. He was born in Los Angeles in 1954 and resides in Sherman Oaks. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree from UCLA (1974) and a law degree from Harvard University (1979).
