Congressman Brad Sherman, representing California’s 32nd district since 1997, shared his views on various political matters through a series of tweets. Known for his long-standing service in Congress, Sherman expressed opinions regarding recent actions involving former President Donald Trump and the arrest of political figures.

On June 9, 2025, Congressman Sherman posted about the situation in Los Angeles, stating “#LosAngeles is a great city – yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Los Angeles was at peace until #DonaldTrump sent in armed, masked men to seize hard-working people on the streets. These are people who have lived in our communities and obeyed our laws for decades.”

Later that day, Sherman commented on the topic of arresting political figures. He wrote “I don’t think we should be arresting major political figures in our nation. They’ve got important work to do. But if we are going to arrest major political figures, we should start with the one with 34 criminal convictions.”

In another tweet from June 9, 2025, Sherman tagged several colleagues including @RepJoshG @RepMoskowitz @RepKimSchrier @DWStweets @RepGregLandsman @RepSchneider and @RepLoisFrankel without additional commentary or context provided. The post can be viewed .

Sherman’s career began when he succeeded Anthony Beilenson in Congress back in 1997. Born in Los Angeles in 1954 and currently residing in Sherman Oaks, he holds degrees from both UCLA and Harvard University.
