California women’s gymnastics head coach Geralen Stack-Eaton has announced the appointment of Brittany McClure as an assistant coach. McClure, who spent the last five years at Air Force Academy, will bring her expertise in coaching all four events and her experience as a lead coach and choreographer for the floor exercise to the team.
McClure expressed her enthusiasm about joining the California program: “I’m beyond excited and incredibly honored to join Cal women’s gymnastics during such an exciting new chapter under head coach Geralen Stack-Eaton,” she said. “I’m so grateful to Geralen for this incredible opportunity and to the entire Golden Bear community. This program has such a rich tradition of excellence, and it’s truly a dream to be part of it. I can’t wait to get started with this amazing staff and group of talented, driven women.”
During her tenure at Air Force, McClure helped elevate the team’s performance, leading them to break school records in vault and team scores last season. Her floor rotation achieved the highest National Qualifying Score (NQS) in program history in 2024, significantly improving their national standing.
Under McClure’s guidance, Air Force gymnast Maggie Slife became one of the most successful athletes in the program’s history, earning numerous accolades including 2025 Mountain West Gymnast of the Year and 2024 USAG floor national champion.
Geralen Stack-Eaton commented on McClure’s hiring: “We’re thrilled to welcome Brittany to the staff,” she said. “Her collegiate background allows her to connect with student-athletes, and her technical expertise—especially on floor and vault—brings immediate value. At Air Force, she played a key role in developing standout athlete Maggie Slife, and I’m excited for what we’ll accomplish together at Cal.”
Before joining Air Force, McClure held positions at Ursinus College, Airborne Gymnastics, and Ball State University. She was also a competitive gymnast at Texas Woman’s University from 2009-2014.
McClure holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business.
