The California Golden Bears football team will host its 2025 Fan Day at California Memorial Stadium on Saturday, August 23. The event will offer the public a chance to watch the final day of fall training camp for free, starting at 2 p.m. PT.
Fans attending Fan Day can observe an open practice session and participate in several activities on Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza. Scheduled events include a Kids Zone with games, inflatable toys, face painting, and a photo booth. Food trucks and concessions will be available for purchase, along with official Cal merchandise. Attendees can also expect performances by the Cal Band & Spirit groups and an appearance by Oski, the school mascot. After practice, select players will take part in a meet-and-greet and autograph session.
During the event, Justin Allegri, known as the Voice of the Bears, will host an on-field show that features live interviews with key members of the program including General Manager Ron Rivera, Travers Family Head Football Coach Justin Wilcox, Co-Defensive Coordinators Terrence Brown and Vic So’oto, and Offensive Coordinator Bryan Harsin.
Before Fan Day begins, Allegri and Cal Hall-of-Fame quarterback Mike Pawlawski are scheduled to host a live radio show on KNBR from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., previewing the upcoming season.
California Memorial Stadium is located at 2227 Piedmont Avenue in Berkeley between Bancroft Way and Stadium Rim Way. Organizers recommend using public transportation or ride-sharing due to limited parking near the stadium. More information about transit options can be found through BART (https://www.bart.gov), AC Transit (https://www.actransit.org), Bay Area trip planning resources (https://511.org), or UC Berkeley’s Parking & Transportation office (https://pt.berkeley.edu). Paid parking is available at several garages near campus; street parking may also be available but is limited.
The Golden Bears begin their home schedule against Texas Southern on September 6. Single-game and season tickets are now available for purchase through calbears.com or by contacting the ticket office via phone or email.
