California Golden Bears are preparing for their participation in the ACC Kickoff event in Charlotte, North Carolina. The team will be represented by several key figures including general manager Ron Rivera, head coach Justin Wilcox, quarterbacks Devin Brown and Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, defensive lineman Aidan Keanaaina, and linebacker Cade Uluave.
The event is scheduled to begin on Tuesday with the Bears taking the stage at 11 a.m. PT. Coverage of the three-day event will be broadcast live on ACC Network starting at 6 a.m. PT each day.
Devin Brown, who recently transferred from Ohio State after their national championship win, brings experience to Cal with his previous performance of 331 passing yards and four touchdowns. Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele arrives as a highly-rated recruit from Hawaii, having been ranked as the No. 19 overall player by On3.
Aidan Keanaaina contributed significantly last season with 45 tackles and has been recognized as Preseason All-ACC Fourth Team by Athlon Sports and Phil Steele. Cade Uluave also stands out with his previous achievements including being named All-ACC Honorable Mention despite missing part of last season due to injury. He has earned Preseason All-American Third-Team honors from Phil Steele for the upcoming season.
