Twenty-five student-athletes from the University of California’s swimming and diving teams have been recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as part of the Scholar All-America Team. The announcement highlights 13 women and 12 men who achieved this honor, with 15 individuals earning Second Team selections.
The criteria for Second Team honors include maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and meeting an NCAA “B” time standard or qualifying for a diving zone meet. Additionally, both Cal’s men’s and women’s teams were named Scholar All-American Teams due to their collective GPA surpassing 3.0 for the spring semester.
The list of female athletes includes Abby Herscu, Alicia Henry (Second Team), Ariana Drake (Second Team), Camille Henveaux (Second Team), Ella Mazurek (Second Team), Fanni Fabian (Second Team), Kathryn Hazle, Lizzy Cook, McKenna Stone, Mia Kragh (Second Team), Morgan Brophy (Second Team), Rebecca Ciancaglini (Second Team), and Stephanie Akakabota (Second Team).
On the men’s side, Bjorn Seeliger, Destin Lasco, Evan Petty, Hank Rivers, Jack Clark (Second Team), Jacob Soderlund (Second Team), Joshua Thai, Lars Antoniak (Second Team), Nans Mazellier, Thackston McMullan (Second Team), Yamato Okadome, and Ziyad Saleem (Second Team) were honored.
