The California Golden Bears women’s volleyball team has announced the addition of Siena MacCudden to its incoming freshman class. MacCudden will join Abby Zimmerman, Anna Flores, and Nicole Milosevic as new members of the team in 2026. Both MacCudden and Flores have enrolled early and are set to practice with the team during the spring.
“Siena is a great competitor and has played high level volleyball her entire career,” said Cal volleyball head coach Jen Malcom. “We appreciate how she carries herself on the court – steady in serve receive and scrappy on the defensive end. She will be a great addition to our back court group this spring. When she said she wanted to join the team early, we knew that we got someone who is all in and wants to be great.”
MacCudden, from Nashotah, Wisconsin, attended Arrowhead Union High School. She was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Honorable Mention after her senior season, during which she recorded 685 digs—ranking third in Wisconsin. She earned Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association (WVCA) All-State honors and was recognized as the Classic 8 Conference Libero of the Year for two consecutive seasons while also receiving AVCA All-Region 6 recognition.
As a sophomore in 2023, MacCudden was named WVCA All-State and All-Conference Honorable Mention after helping lead her high school team to its first of two straight regional titles.
In club competition, MacCudden contributed to Milwaukee Sting’s national championship win at the 2023 Girls Junior National Championships (GJNC) 15s division. That year, she appeared on both the AVCA Phenom and Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) Watch Lists for the first time. She continued to be recognized by JVA Watch Lists in both 2024 and 2025.
