Three members of the California men’s golf team have been recognized for their academic achievements by being named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team. The announcement was made by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
The honorees include Charlie Berridge, a senior majoring in computer science; Kuangyu (Tony) Chen, a redshirt senior studying media studies; and Sihao Cong, a redshirt freshman in political economy. This marks the first time these student-athletes have received this recognition following the Golden Bears’ inaugural season as part of the conference.
To qualify for this honor, athletes must maintain a career grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, achieve at least a 3.0 GPA during the most recent academic semester (spring 2025), and participate in at least half of their team’s competitions.
Chen has graduated this spring, while Berridge is set to return to Cal for an additional year in 2025–26.
