Seven members of the 2025 California softball team have been recognized for their academic achievements by earning All-ACC Academic honors, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
The honored athletes include seniors Acacia Anders, Kaylee Pond, Anna Reimers, and Annabel Teperson; junior Ashanti McDade; and sophomores Xiomei Geluz and Holly Medina. These players were acknowledged for their dedication to academics.
For Anders, Reimers, and Teperson, this marks their third career conference academic accolade. They were previously two-time selections to the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll before California moved to the ACC for the 2024-25 season. Pond received this conference award for the second time in her career.
In addition to these honors, Anders, Pond, Reimers, and Teperson earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition in May.
To qualify for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team for softball, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA for the previous semester and cumulatively throughout their career. They must also have participated in at least 50 percent of their team’s games or 20 percent if they are pitchers.
