In the top of the third inning, Carly Raven hit a two-run single up the middle, giving California a brief 2-1 advantage. However, Notre Dame answered in the bottom of that inning by scoring three runs and regaining control of the game with a 4-2 lead.
The Fighting Irish added two more runs in the fourth inning to reach what would be the final score. With this loss, California’s overall record is now 11-24 and their conference record stands at 1-9 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
