The California track and field teams have received recognition for their academic achievements. Both the men’s and women’s teams, along with six male and seven female student-athletes from the 2025 squad, were awarded U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors. The announcement was made by the organization on Monday.
To earn the team academic award, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is required for all student-athletes. Individual student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at their institution. Additionally, they must meet specific performance criteria in indoor or outdoor events.
Graduate Garrett MacQuiddy and rising senior Audrey Jacobs each received their third career USTFCCCA All-Academic award, while graduate Caisa-Marie Lindfors was recognized for the second time as a Golden Bear.
The following are the USTFCCCA Men’s Academic All-Americans: Jared Freeman (Graduate Certificate, Business Administration and Entrepreneurship), Iyan Godwin (Political Economy), Johnny Goode (Sociology), Garrett MacQuiddy (Graduate Certificate, Business Administration and Entrepreneurship), Justin Pretre (History), Will Siemens (Mechanical Engineering).
The USTFCCCA Women’s Academic All-Americans include: Asjah Atkinson (Cognitive Science), Jayden Hill (Legal Studies), Audrey Jacobs (Molecular & Cell Biology), Caisa-Marie Lindfors (Master’s Degree, Cultural Studies of Sport in Education), Amanda Spear (Graduate Certificate, Business Administration and Entrepreneurship), Mari Testa (Media Studies), Loreal Wilson (Legal Studies).
