California men’s soccer midfielder Cam Wilkerson has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second Team, according to an announcement made Tuesday. This is the first time Wilkerson has received this recognition as a senior with the Golden Bears.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America Team, student-athletes must first be selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team, maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have participated in at least 90% of their team’s games or started at least 66% of them. Wilkerson earned Academic All-District honors for the second time in his career in November.
Wilkerson is from Richmond and transferred to California after three seasons at UCLA. He majors in American studies and has received several academic awards, including being named to the 2022 UCLA Director’s Roll, earning spots on the 2023 CSC Academic All-District Team, and making the 2024 Fall Academic All-Big Ten Team. In 2025, he started in 16 out of 18 matches for Cal, scoring two goals—both game winners—along with two assists and totaling six points. His decisive goals came against Saint Mary’s during the season opener and Radford in October.
Wilkerson follows former Cal goalkeeper Marco Brougher, who was also named to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team in 2024.
