California men’s golfer Charlie Berridge has been recognized as a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar, according to an announcement by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Tuesday.

Berridge served as one of the Golden Bears’ co-captains last season and achieved three top-30 finishes. Last month, he was also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic At-Large All-District Team.

Eligibility for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honor requires student-athletes to be at least sophomores academically and athletically, participate in at least half of their team’s rounds, have a stroke average of 76.0 or lower, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, and be of high moral character and in good standing at their college.

Berridge completed last season with a stroke average of 72.36 and contributed to California’s qualification for the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive year. He was also selected to the All-ACC Academic Team.
