Congressman Brad Sherman, representing California’s 32nd district since 1997, recently addressed several issues through a series of tweets. Born in Los Angeles in 1954, Sherman has been an active member of Congress for decades. His educational background includes a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles and a JD from Harvard University.
On June 9, 2025, Sherman expressed concern over recent terrorist attacks affecting the Jewish community in Washington D.C. and Boulder. He stated, “The Jewish community is reeling from the terrorist attacks in DC and Boulder. I have drafted a statement, which many Jewish Members have joined demanding Republican leadership take real action: pass the #Antisemitism Awareness Act and fully fund the Non Profit Security Grant”.
The following day, on June 10, 2025, Sherman shared that he had participated in an interview with BBC News to discuss immigration enforcement actions under President Trump. He tweeted, “I joined @BBCNews to discuss President Trump’s ICE raids in Los Angeles.”
Later on June 10th, Sherman took to social media again to address The New York Times regarding a headline he felt needed correction. In his tweet he said, “Hey @nytimes, fixed the headline for you.”
