Deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded on April 24 to a residence on Washoan Road in Apple Valley following reports of an unknown problem and discovered a home engulfed in flames and one deceased person. Authorities said they found a 59-year-old male victim at a neighboring property suffering from severe injuries after being stabbed at his own home.

The suspect, described as an adult female pending positive identification, was involved in a physical altercation with the victim before allegedly setting the house on fire.
