Former California Golden Bears outfielder Dylan Beavers has been called up to the Baltimore Orioles and is set to make his Major League Baseball debut. Beavers will start in right field and bat sixth when the Orioles play against the Houston Astros on Saturday at 4:10 p.m. PT.

Beavers’ promotion comes after a strong season with the Norfolk Tide, Baltimore’s Triple-A affiliate. Over 94 games, he recorded a .304 batting average, a .420 on-base percentage, and a .515 slugging percentage, along with 18 home runs, 51 RBIs, and 23 stolen bases.

MLB Pipeline currently lists Beavers as the Orioles’ third-ranked overall prospect and their top outfield prospect. He was selected by Baltimore with the 33rd overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft.

During his time at Cal, Beavers earned back-to-back First Team All-Pac-12 honors and was named to the ABCA West All-Region first team in both 2021 and 2022.
