The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Response Team is conducting an investigation into a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that took place early Sunday morning. On June 29, 2025, at around 12:55 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident in the 7300 block of Calle Real in Goleta.

The driver involved in the incident, Jeselyn Invina, aged 68 and from Goleta, was traveling westbound. She reported that she looked away from her path due to the bright headlights of an oncoming vehicle heading eastbound. As per her statement, her vehicle veered off course, eventually leaving the roadway and coming to rest in a nearby field.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found an adult female pedestrian approximately 300 feet away from where Invina’s vehicle had stopped. Despite emergency personnel providing aid, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity was initially withheld pending notification of her next-of-kin.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Invina was unaware she had struck a pedestrian until deputies informed her upon their arrival. The Sheriff’s Major Accident Response Team continues to investigate this incident. It has been noted that drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in this collision.

As of June 30, 2025, the Coroner’s Bureau has notified next-of-kin and released the identity of the deceased as Jennifer Lynn Bradshaw, aged 42, from Goleta.
