Stanford University announced on May 13 that four men’s tennis players have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. Alex Chang, Nico Godsick, Alex Razeghi, and Hudson Rivera received the honor for their achievements both academically and athletically. Chang and Razeghi were also selected to advance to the national ballot.

The recognition highlights the academic commitment of student-athletes who balance demanding coursework with athletic competition. The selection requires a grade point average above 3.5 while participating in at least 75 percent of an institution’s days of competition.

Chang, who transferred from California, earned his second career academic all-district selection. He finished the season with a singles record of 15-11 and a doubles record of 20-13. He reached rankings as high as No. 41 in singles and No. 6 in doubles this season alongside Razeghi; together they were chosen for the All-ACC second team.

Razeghi led the team with a singles record of 21-4, including an impressive dual mark of 18-2, and posted a doubles record of 21-13. In addition to his doubles honors with Chang, he was also named to the All-ACC second team in singles play and achieved career-best rankings at No. 6 in doubles and No. 54 in singles.

Godsick recorded a singles mark of 12-7 and went undefeated at 11-1 in doubles matches this season, achieving rankings as high as No.78 in singles and No.16 in doubles; this is his first CSC honor after previously being named an All-Pac-12 honorable mention selection last year.

Rivera attained top rankings at No.16 for doubles and No.48 for singles during his junior year campaign, finishing with records of 15-10 (singles) and 13-14 (doubles). This marks Rivera’s first career academic all-district award from CSC.
