Grassroots advocates, state officials, members of Congress, and Governor Gavin Newsom are scheduled to make a significant announcement regarding President Trump’s actions related to Texas’ congressional district maps. The event is set for Thursday, August 14 at approximately 11:30 a.m. in Los Angeles County.

The announcement comes as a response to what organizers describe as President Trump’s “failure to call off the attempts to rig Texas’ congressional maps.” The press event will be accessible via livestream on the Governor’s social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. It will also be available for TV stations through the LiveU Matrix under “California Governor.”

Attendance at the in-person event is limited to credentialed media who RSVP by 8:30 a.m. on August 14. Location details will be shared upon confirmation of attendance.
