California defensive back Hezekiah Masses has been named to the Walter Camp All-America team, according to an announcement from the foundation on Friday.
The 2025 selection marks the 136th edition of the Walter Camp All-America team, which is recognized as the oldest college football All-America team in the United States. The team was chosen by 136 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors, with 25 players named to the first team and 27 players selected for the second team.
Masses earned a spot on the second team defense. This season, he tied for fourth nationally with five interceptions. Within the ACC, his five interceptions were tied for the second most among all players.
In addition to his interception record, Masses led both the nation and the ACC in passes defended with 18 total and averaged 1.50 passes defended per game, which also led all players nationally. He was tied for second in both the ACC and nationwide with 13 pass breakups and made a total of 43 tackles over 12 games played this season for California.
Masses follows Nohl Williams (2024) as the second consecutive California defensive back to achieve All-America status.
