California men’s gymnastics athlete Matteo Bardana is set to compete in the FISU World University Games in Essen, Germany. Bardana, a rising sophomore who recently joined the Canadian Senior Next Gen National Team, will participate in his first international event with the team.

Bardana’s competition schedule includes the men’s artistic gymnastics team event on Tuesday at 5 a.m. PT. Should he advance, he will compete in the final session on Wednesday starting at 12:55 a.m. PT. Fans can watch live coverage on fisu.tv and find results on fisu.net.

Bardana’s recent achievements include winning titles at Elite Canada and earning medals at the Canadian Championships. He also had a successful collegiate season with All-MPSF honors and an NCAA Championships qualification.
