NFIB’s California members will soon receive their 2026 state ballot, according to a recent announcement from the organization. The ballots are expected to arrive by email on or shortly after January 5, with some members also receiving them by mail.

The organization emphasized the importance of member participation in the voting process. “Please vote your ballot. NFIB’s reputation as the voice of small business comes directly from what our members tell us, through regular state and federal balloting, are the issues important to their ability to own, operate and grow their enterprises,” stated NFIB.

According to NFIB, lawmakers and officials acknowledge its standing as a representative for small businesses because of this member-driven approach. “State lawmakers and administration officials recognize and respect NFIB as the true voice of small business because of its member-driven structure. So, make your voice heard. Please vote your ballot,” said the group.

Each question on the ballot includes explanations along with arguments from both proponents and opponents.

Ballots like these allow organizations such as NFIB to gauge which policy areas are most important for their membership base (https://www.nfib.com/ballot/). This information is then used in advocacy efforts at both state and federal levels.
