U.S. Representative Norma Torres, who serves California’s 35th district, highlighted recent community engagement and economic development activities in a series of posts on her social media account.
On August 19, 2025, Torres shared her appreciation for local recognition by stating, “Today, I was honored to receive the Jurupa Community Services District Community Leader of the Year Award. I have been proud to work with JCSD to strengthen our water infrastructure and keep our communities drinking water safe. Thank you for the incredible honor!” This post underscores her ongoing involvement in efforts to improve public utilities within her district.
Later that day, Torres documented a visit as part of an initiative supporting local industry: “Made my first stop of the #MadeInThe35th tour at Ecko Products Group, a SoCal leader in custom packaging solutions. Their team works hands-on with customers to boost efficiency, cut costs, and keep innovation local to our district. Proud to support local manufacturing!” The post emphasizes both collaboration with businesses and support for domestic manufacturing.
On August 20, she commented on regional development: “A thriving Inland Empire doesn’t happen by accident. It takes collaboration. Grateful to join local universities, manufacturers, and economic leaders to reflect on 10 years of progress and plan the next chapter of opportunity for our communities.”
