Restoration News announced that it reaffirmed its criticism of collapsing climate narratives and pointed to a growing institutional and public retreat from green energy initiatives.
According to Restoration News, many dominant climate change narratives—including those predicting widespread polar ice loss and universal renewable energy adoption—are showing signs of breakdown. The publication argues these narratives were foundational to climate alarmism but are now being contradicted by new empirical studies and economic realities. Restoration News emphasizes a societal shift in sentiment, where skepticism toward climate catastrophe rhetoric is growing amid mounting concerns about cost, feasibility, and personal liberty.
A peer-reviewed study published in Nature Communications in 2024 revealed that four key glacier basins in East Antarctica experienced measurable ice gain between 2021 and 2023. This finding contradicts earlier projections made by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which anticipated sustained ice loss. As reported by Nature, this new data suggests that polar climate behavior is more complex and less predictable than previously asserted.
According to The Financial Times, six major U.S. banks—including JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America—exited the United Nations-backed Net-Zero Banking Alliance in late 2024, citing legal exposure and fiduciary risk. This marked a major retreat by the financial sector from politically motivated climate pledges. In parallel, MIT Technology Review reported that U.S. government cuts under the Trump administration have triggered a major funding crisis for climate research, with tens of millions in National Science Foundation (NSF) grants slashed since January 2025.
