Riverside County Coroner identifies man killed on Railroad Canyon Road

The Riverside Sheriff’s Office announced on May 10 that Joshua Coan, a 44-year-old man from Menifee, died following an incident on Railroad Canyon Road in Lake Elsinore. According to the coroner’s press release, Coan was injured and later died at the scene.

The report states that both the injury and death occurred late in the evening of May 9. The location was identified as approximately 0.38 miles west of Church Road along Railroad Canyon Road in Lake Elsinore.

Officials confirmed that next of kin have been notified. The Riverside Sheriff’s Office – Lake Elsinore is conducting the investigation under case number L261290103.

No further details about the circumstances leading to Coan’s death were provided in the announcement. Authorities advised that anyone seeking additional information should refer to the investigating agency.
