Sadie Bramlette, a 28-year-old resident of Sacramento, has entered a guilty plea for her involvement in a conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, including fentanyl. The announcement was made by Acting U.S. Attorney Michele Beckwith.

Court documents reveal that between January 2023 and January 2025, Bramlette and her partner in drug trafficking, Dejian Johl, aged 27 from Merced, utilized social media platforms and dark web marketplaces to sell various drugs. These included fentanyl, methamphetamine, Ecstasy, LSD, ketamine, heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, Adderall, Xanax, promethazine, Soma, and OxyContin. In their operation scheme, Johl managed customer orders and payments while coordinating with Bramlette to deliver the orders through the United States Postal Service.

As part of her plea agreement, Bramlette has consented to forfeit over $100,000 in cash along with jewelry and luxury items bought with proceeds from the drug trade during the conspiracy period. It is reported that Johl conducted at least 1,350 transfers to Bramlette’s Cash App account during this time; these transactions were largely related to drug proceeds or facilitated their trafficking activities.

Bramlette is now the second individual to plead guilty in connection with drug distribution via the dark web and social media channels. Her co-conspirator Johl had already pleaded guilty last week on similar charges.

The case is being handled by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hitt leading the prosecution efforts.

Sentencing for Johl is scheduled before U.S. District Judge William B. Shubb on September 22nd of this year while Bramlette will face sentencing on September 29th. Both individuals are facing a potential maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment alongside a $1 million fine. However actual sentencing will depend upon court discretion after reviewing applicable statutory factors as well as Federal Sentencing Guidelines which consider multiple variables.
