San Diego softball lost to Pacific by a score of 4-3 on May 3, closing out its final road trip of the season at Bill Simoni Field in Stockton, California.
The game saw San Diego rally for three runs but ultimately fall short after Pacific scored four runs in the fourth inning. The Toreros managed to get on the board in the fourth when Kaylee Oh singled, advanced to third on a Michelle Delgado single, and both executed a double steal with Oh stealing home. Heading into the sixth inning trailing 4-1, Delgado hit a two-run triple to center field that brought Taylor Johnson and Oh home, narrowing the deficit to one run.
Pacific was able to keep San Diego from scoring over the last two innings and held onto their lead for the win. Charlie Johnson started as pitcher for San Diego before Alex Riggs and Kaitlyn Bartlow came in as relief pitchers.
The Toreros will return home for their final three-game series of 2026 against Seattle. The first game is scheduled for Thursday at Reggie Smith Softball Complex with first pitch set for 6 p.m.
