The San Diego Toreros and the University of the Pacific Tigers finished their baseball game tied at 11-11 after eight innings on May 10, due to a mutually agreed time constraint related to San Diego’s travel arrangements.

The tie came in San Diego’s final road contest of the season. The game saw several lead changes, with the Toreros overcoming a seven-run fifth inning by Pacific with a six-run rally in the seventh. Key hits from CJ Moran, Andrew Gauna, and Phoenix Brant helped San Diego regain a 10-7 lead.

Pacific added one run in the bottom of the seventh before Jayton Greer extended San Diego’s advantage to 11-8 in the eighth. However, Pacific scored three runs in their half of the eighth to even up the score before both teams agreed to end play due to scheduling needs.

San Diego started strong, scoring first for its fifth consecutive game. Notable performances included Jayden Lobliner hitting his ninth home run of the season and Moran reaching base safely for his thirty-second time in thirty-four games. The team turned three double plays defensively and recorded sixteen hits, tying their third-highest mark this season.

Additional highlights included multi-hit games from Moran, Gauna, Lobliner, and freshman Diego Gonzalez. Pitchers Drake Frize, Aidan Gonzalez, Fernando Palencia, Hayden Cody, and Nate DeSchryver all contributed innings on the mound during a back-and-forth contest.

San Diego will return home for its final series of 2026 against Loyola Marymount at Fowler Park starting Thursday.
