The Santa Clara men’s tennis team finished with a program-best No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Division I Men’s Mid-Major Team Rankings and tied its highest-ever regional ranking at No. 3, according to a June 3 announcement from the program.

In the Northwest Regional doubles rankings, Luca Bluett and John Kim were ranked No. 3, marking the highest doubles ranking in school history for Santa Clara. Tiago Boschmans and Luca Lemaitre also appeared on the list at No. 10.

Four singles players from Santa Clara earned spots in the regional rankings, setting a new record for most ranked singles players from the program in one season. Luca Lemaitre led at No. 12, followed by Alexander Watanabe Eriksson at No. 16, John Kim at No. 18, and Valentin Faure at No. 20.

The Broncos’ previous best finish in mid-major team rankings was No. 20 in 2024, while their last appearance tying for third regionally came in 2019.

This season saw Santa Clara secure an NCAA Team Championship bid for only the second time after capturing its first West Coast Conference co-championship during a regular season that included a school-record-tying win streak of thirteen matches and an overall record of 20-5. In league play, they finished with identical records alongside Pepperdine and San Diego to qualify for their eighth consecutive WCC Tournament appearance.

In final national rankings by ITA, Santa Clara achieved its second-highest finish ever at No. 38; only the team’s performance in 2012 was higher, when it ended that year ranked thirty-third.
