Santa Clara women’s rowing finished its season with a ninth place result at the West Coast Conference Championship, according to a May 16 announcement. Dominique Matthews and Frankie Park were named to the All-West Coast Conference team following the event.

The team’s performance included a second place finish in the Second Varsity Eight Petite Final and third place finishes in both the Varsity Eight and Varsity Four Petite Finals. The recognition for Matthews marks her second consecutive year receiving all-conference honors, while it is Park’s first time earning this distinction.

“After the races, Dominique Matthews and Frankie Park were named All-WCC,” said Santa Clara University. “This is the second year in a row Matthews has been named all-conference. It was the first honor for Park.”

The championship marked the end of Santa Clara’s season as they competed against other conference teams in Rancho Cordova, California.

Looking ahead, returning athletes will aim to build on this year’s experience as preparations begin for next season.
