SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced a series of appointments to various state boards and commissions.
Jeff Hughes, a Democrat from Oceanside, has been appointed to the State Board of Pharmacy. Hughes, who has a background as a Wellness Business Agent at the Orange County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3631, brings a wealth of experience from his time in the fire service.
J. Newell, also a Democrat, hailing from Sacramento, has joined the State Board of Pharmacy. Newell's expertise as Principal and Co-Founder of System2Solutions, along with his educational background, will be valuable assets to the board.
Seung Oh, who is registered without party preference and based in San Diego, has been reappointed to the State Board of Pharmacy. With a background as a Pharmacy Supervisor for Sharp Healthcare, Oh's experience in the healthcare sector will continue to benefit the board.
Satinder Sandhu, a Democrat from Davis, has been appointed to the State Board of Pharmacy. Sandhu, currently serving as the Area Healthcare Supervisor of Northern California for Walgreens, brings a strong background in pharmacy management to his new role.
Martin Dawson, a Democrat from San Diego, has been appointed to the State Board of Optometry. With experience in organizations such as Prison Fellowship and Acuity Eye Group, Dawson's expertise will be an asset to the board.
Kathryn McKim, a Republican from El Dorado, has been reappointed to the California Volunteers Commission. McKim's extensive background in various leadership positions, including at AT&T and as Founder of Mile 26 Strategies, will continue to be valuable to the commission.
Bob Mulholland, a Democrat from Chico, has been appointed to the 3rd District Agricultural Association, Silver Dollar Fair Board of Directors. Mulholland's experience as Campaign Director at the California Democratic Party and Political Director at Campaign California will bring a unique perspective to the board.
