Amanda Clayton, a political science scholar specializing in women's political participation and representation, has recently joined the faculty. With a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Washington in 2014, Clayton brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.

Clayton shared her research interests, stating, "I work on women's political participation and representation. I also study gender differences in political attitudes, including a book I'm writing on gender differences in attitudes towards climate change around the world."

In addition to her academic pursuits, Clayton revealed a fun fact about herself, saying, "I have the goal to visit every U.S. National Park. So far, I've been to 33 of them. Next up, Yosemite!"

With her dedication to understanding and promoting women's roles in politics, Amanda Clayton is sure to make a valuable contribution to the field of political science at our institution.
