Governor Newsom signs multiple legislative bills into law

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the signing of several new bills into law.

The signed legislation includes:

- AB 453 by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Riverside) concerning district-based elections.

- AB 1849 by Assemblymember Tim Grayson (D-Concord) related to the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, specifically addressing services and repairs for travel trailers and motor homes.

- AB 1861 by Assemblymember Dawn Addis (D-Morro Bay) focusing on pest control, particularly Pierce’s disease.

- AB 1966 by Assemblymember Laurie Davies (R-Laguna Niguel) which mandates human trafficking notices for primary ticket sellers.

- AB 1996 by Assemblymember Juan Alanis (R-Modesto) requiring opioid antagonists and overdose training at stadiums, concert venues, and amusement parks.

- AB 2556 by Assemblymember Dr. Corey Jackson (D-Moreno Valley) dealing with behavioral health and wellness screenings notifications.

- AB 2631 by Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra), which involves ethics training for local agencies.

- AB 2756 by Assemblymember Tasha Boerner (D-Encinitas), establishing a Pelvic Floor and Core Conditioning Pilot Program.

- AB 2962 by Assemblymember Diane Papan (D-San Mateo), aimed at enhancing security and reliability under the Wholesale Regional Water System Security and Reliability Act.

- AB 2985 by Assemblymember Gregg Hart (D-Santa Barbara), addressing mental health advisement in courts.

- AB 2987 by Assemblymember Liz Ortega (D-San Leandro), focusing on status updates and notices regarding sex discrimination complaints in public postsecondary education institutions.

- SB 1186 by Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa), providing free admissions to fairs.
