Governor Gavin Newsom and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom are set to induct the 18th class of the California Hall of Fame. The ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, December 19, will be conducted virtually. This year marks a historic moment as the class consists entirely of women who have made significant contributions in various fields such as athletics, civil rights, culinary arts, and entertainment.
The induction will take place at 6 p.m. and can be viewed via livestream on the Governor’s Office Twitter account, Governor Newsom's Instagram, and the California Museum’s YouTube channel.
The California Hall of Fame was established in 2006 to honor Californians who have made impactful contributions in areas including arts, business and labor, entertainment, food and wine, literature, music, public service, science, and sports. Inductees are chosen annually by the Governor and First Partner for their achievements that reflect the state's spirit of innovation.
