Brad Sherman comments on Trump's inauguration and announces committee role

Congressman Brad Sherman, who has been serving California's 32nd district since 1997, shared his views on recent political events and personal achievements through a series of tweets. Sherman, born in Los Angeles in 1954, is a graduate of UCLA and Harvard University. He replaced Anthony Beilenson in Congress and resides in Sherman Oaks.

On January 20, 2025, Congressman Sherman commented on former President Trump's inaugural address. "Trump’s inaugural address is in desperate need of Community Notes." He provided a link for further information about those who died building the canal.

Later that day, he expressed concern over remarks made during Trump's inauguration speech regarding firefighters. "Trump's #Inauguration speech included a gut punch to our firefighters." He directed followers to an interview with Bloomberg TV for more details.

On January 22, 2025, Sherman announced his new role within the Financial Services Committee. "Pleased to have been selected to serve as the Democratic ranking member on the @FSCDems Capital Markets Subcommittee." He celebrated this achievement by visiting his favorite sandwich place under the Capitol.
