Attorney General Rob Bonta has submitted a second amicus brief opposing the executive order issued by former President Donald Trump, which prohibits transgender individuals from serving in the military. The action continues Bonta's efforts to challenge the policy, arguing that it is discriminatory and undermines military readiness.

"Transgender service members have served our country with honor and distinction," said Attorney General Bonta. "They deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, not subjected to discrimination."
