The University of California, Davis announced on April 17 that Lincoln Wells Sabini, a second-year student majoring in sustainable agriculture and food systems, died following a collision between a car and a bicycle on Hutchison Drive near the West Village housing area on April 13.
Sabini was involved in several campus activities. He participated in the UC Davis triathlon sports club, worked as a swimming instructor with Campus Recreation, and was employed at the UC Davis Student Farm. He graduated from McClatchy High School in Sacramento.
Chancellor Gary S. May said, “This is a very painful loss for our community. We share our deepest condolences with the family and mourn with all those who knew and loved Lincoln. I’m grateful to the first responders who worked heroically at the scene. We will remember Lincoln and find comfort in the many friends he made during his time here.”
